Celebrate

I sit here at my desk looking out onto a frosty garden, frost covered rooves, a silken blue sky and trees just starting to hold the glow of the first rays of sunshine.

And it has hit me like an explosion of bubbles filled with sparkles:

This day is a treasure chest of moments yet to happen.

I have some idea as to what I’ll be doing – what meetings I’ll attend and when I’ll be where – but that’s all I can foresee.

The rest is in this big chest called today, and within are all the moments – every one of them – which I will take out, one by one – and experience.

I am rather excited at this.

A day of non-stop treasures.

A day of gifts, one after another.

(and I suddenly recognize the enthusiasm I held as a child, bouncing out of bed – excited about another day to discover!)

My intention for the year is “celebrate”. Every conversation. Every person. Every interaction. Every day.

And now I sit here with this chest of unopened treasures before me and add - celebrate every single moment. And I hear that 4 year old within gleefully sing “That’s EASY!” “Let’s GO!”
