In my work, I need to build relationships and teams quickly. Margo's program has significantly improved my ability to quickly foster a productive and collaborative environment. She encouraged me to dig deeper and develop my own solutions based on new learnings, and I saw a direct line from her coaching to an increase in my team's curiosity and willingness to speak up.

Leadership Coaching Program1 (LCP1)

For new, emerging leaders or those in the early phases of their leadership, and any leaders struggling with burn-out or wanting to gain traction swiftly.

12 weeks, 6 topic modules alternating with coaching.

Bringing topics from leading researchers and authors such as Amy Edmondson, Brené Brown and others, all module sessions are facilitated using a coaching methodology where participants personalize the information to fit their own strengths and situations. We build the foundational basics: what leadership is and isn’t, and what leaders control, and don’t. We explore setting and achieving high standards, the art of delegation, accountability and what some feel are “difficult” conversations. And then we work on growing the team members.

Modules can be delivered individually or to groups of up to six while alternate coaching sessions are one-on-one to support the participant to embed the what they are learning using their individual strengths in their specific environment.

Participants may use the completion of this program as a per-requisite of Section 2 of LCP2 (Expand) in lieu of Section 1 of LCP2 (Explore)

stepped path up a forested mountain

Margo’s Leadership Coaching Program has been pivotal in preparing me for transition from an analyst to a leadership role, helping me identify my blind spots and recognize areas of strength that I can leverage as a leader. Margo’s coaching has sharpened my leadership skills, enhanced my strategic thinking, and built my confidence to take on future challenges. I feel far more equipped for this next phase in my career. - Jacob S., Senior IT Analyst, Higher Education

I'd recommend Margo’s Leadership development course to anybody who just started a leadership role or have have been leading a team/projects for a few years and would like to brush up the fundamentals. Margo created a space where I could express myself freely, think and ponder over her questions and I feel much more confident as a leader. — Majid S: Manager, IT, Higher Education

Leadership Coaching Programs overview

I’ve long had this vision that I know many share - wouldn’t it be nice if the world was filled – stuffed - with amazing leaders?

  • People who inspire their teams to greatness; who raise their team members up beyond where they imagined they could be – because they saw a spark.

  • People who, with their teams, excel in achieving more, better faster – with enthusiasm (no burn out)!

  • People who inspire courage and brilliance and teams that are engaged, motivated, enthusiastic, resilient and dynamic.

Can you imagine what could be possible?

The programs explore the strengths, skills and behaviours required to create the environment to overcome the key reasons employees leave, and the primary common challenges leaders face (according to studies).

These Human-centered, Achievement-focused Leadership Coaching Programs leverage the work of key researchers & topical expertise, are threaded through with years of leadership experience and delivered through coaching. Participants tailor the information to their own strengths and circumstances, embed what they learn, try new approaches and behaviours, and through an iterative approach and coaching, develop frameworks that work for them, using their strengths in their environments.

We begin from the premise that strengthening our strengths is more effective than working on what we perceive as our weaknesses. Imagine a sports coach telling a top sprinter “we’ll concentrate on strengthening your shotput – your weakness!”. Or how about a coach putting together a competitive team, taking a top swimmer and having them focusing on becoming better at pole vault, and turning the top diver to work on their javelin in an effort to strengthen all the weaknesses? An effective team is built of key and unique strengths. Working on “weaknesses” fails to maximize the innate strengths of the individual and the team.

The goal is to help leaders achieve their objectives by utilizing and expanding their own individual strengths and develop the skills and behaviours that will create the team environment where team members want to stay and grow because they feel valued and valuable for their contributions; where they are encouraged to develop and employ their own strengths, skills and behaviours; where innovation and creativity thrive as the team embraces the challenges of change, resiliently finding ways to adjust, adapt or pivot.

The Objectives of this program are to develop leaders of impact where:

  • Goals and targets are achieved

  • Leader burnout is reduced

  • Team engagement and motivation are increased

  • Team resilience is solid in the face of change, ambiguity and other disruptive forces

  • Team members understand the value of their work contributions, and for which they are valued

  • žEach individual team member and the team as an entity grow professionally

  • The team environment is Creative, Innovative and Resilient, able to anticipate challenges and nimbly pivot, shift, adapt and adopt with change.
